There is honestly not too much that you can do right now. The most important thing, you did already - you saved her life. After this, it's simply about being patient. It's about giving her space when she needs it while also showing her that you are there for her. It's about doing small things - even tiny things - to try to get her to trust you, because after everything that she has been through, trust is not going to be easy to come by with her. She might not be cuddly and loving with you for a long time, but that doesn't mean that she wouldn't want to - deep down. It will simply be difficult.
But we believe in you. We really do. We know that, unlike her last owner, you are not someone who is going to give up on her, and eventually, with enough time, she is going to feel it too. And although it might take a long time to break her walls and gain her trust, once you have it, it is going to be the most rewarding and amazing thing in your life. Give her time. Show her love. That's all that you need to do.
